Sharing the Teachings - U.S./Europe Tour

Posted October 7, 2011

Dear Community,

When I attended our yearly International Sundance ceremony, it changed my life dramatically!

Let me tell you a bit about myself. I am Metis, mixed blood American Indian and French Canadian. Over the years, I’ve been blessed to be taught by Native Elders from the Americas, Polynesia and Siberia. They all told me that I am a ‘bridge’, and it is my responsibility to share their teachings in ways that can help people today, to live sustainably and harmoniously with Mother Earth, Father Sky and All Our Relations.

At Sundance, the Elders told me it’s time for me to share the teachings in America. I’ve lived and taught in Hawaii and the South Pacific for many years. And now, it’s time to bring these teachings home!

Therefore, I am personally inviting you to organize and attend a Weaving the Worlds Workshop, an experiential evolutionary intensive utilizing ancient tools that evoke transformation through these times of transition.

Please take a look at the travel schedule at left, and let me know where your community fits in. I’ll do my best to make sure we can schedule time in your area.

I hope to be joined by a traveling tribe of wonderful musicians, artisans and ceremonialists. Together we can create an atmosphere of ceremony and celebration that will invoke the highest spiritual vibrations, conducive to the evolution of Love and the delight of shared hearts and sacred space. Adding your sacred fire to the mix will create an explosion of joy!

We aren’t doing this for big bucks and profit. As the founder of Church of the Earth (www.churchoftheearth.org) and a member of the Grandmothers Circle the Earth Foundation, I, and my fellow travelers, are here to serve the children of earth through celebration and ceremony.

Nonetheless, we do have to support ourselves. To find out our honorariums, and how to donate and organize an event in your area, please email me at whitewolfclanmother@yahoo.com

Weaving the Worlds ~ the Grandmother Teachings

Grandmother Reverend Robin Tekwelus Youngblood

Please join us as Grandmother Rev. Robin Tekwelus Youngblood, Okanagan/Tsalagi, from Maui, Hawaii shares the teachings of the Medicine Wheel. Robin will explain the indigenous Prophecies and Earth Changes that are happening now, and our path through transition to enlightenment.  Robin guides the pathway to the future, assisting communities in co-creating sustainable lifestyles that nurture balance and harmony within, with one’s community, our nations and All Our Relations. Rev. Youngblood is a storyteller, who shares ancient teachings for modern times, through chant, dance, music, ceremony and conscious evolutionary design.

We will work, pray and play in community for three days. Together, we will experience:

  • Introduction: The Medicine Wheel as a foundation for transformation, unification and manifestation
  • Experiencing the Medicine Wheel, using Sound, Movement, Journaling to release outmoded patterns and allow new direction in your life
  • Shamanic Journeys ~ Accessing Ancestral Wisdom, Connecting with your Guides and Totems
  • The Sacred Lodge, a ceremony of Purification and Renewal
  • Talking Circles and experiential exercises, in which we will encourage and support transformation during these transitional times

Co-Creating Bounty & Beauty

Posted August 22, 2011

Welcome! Just to give you some background, EarthWays Eco-Academy is a part of Church of the Earth, a 501c3 NonProfit dedicated to stewarding the earth, and assisting others to find ways to co-create in balance and harmony.

We help people learn how to curb global warming, live more sustainable lifestyles, use alternative energy systems and renewable resources.

This is a place where we can all share: questions and ideas; projects we've been involved in or want to start; networks that support green living.

Its a proven fact at this point that whatever one of us does affects everything else in the universe. That makes it imperative that we examine ourselves before we make decisions and take action, rather than after. For me, that means discarding as much negative programming as I can, and working hard to create only that which brings bounty and beauty to all. We ARE all related! Whether we're talking about the smallest microbe or the tallest mountain, we all belong to this Mother Earth, and it's high time we gave her and all our relatives the respect and honor they deserve.

Let's share all those positive ideas, emotions, projects and common denominators that bring us together in the family of humanity.

AHO! Mitakeuyosin

"What is inspiration, anyway? For me, it is following inner guidance towards the co-creation of a new, healthier and better reality for all."     Rev. Robin Tekwelus Youngblood, October, 2008.

Co-Founder Rev. Nahi'ena'ena Guzman, is of Hawaiian lineage, and teaches the wisdom of the Polynesian culture, sharing Ho'o Pono Pono ~ The Art of Excellence.

With the assistance of other staff members, EarthWays Eco-Academy blends the teachings of the ancients with renewable resource technologies to assist our students to live the life they want in ways that sustain the earth. Techkua Ikachi!! (Hopi Saying: Celebrate Life and blend with the Earth)

Darrell

Dr. Steven Blake -  Teaches students how to build their own solar and wind power systems, and become a knowledgeable consumer if they will be buying a system.

This class gives you the knowledge to use solar and wind power systems to run your home. Learn how to set up photovoltaic solar panels and wire them to produce power. A colorful slide show surveys the various types of wind turbines.

Learn about the parts of an independent power system. Explore new and old battery technologies. During the class you will see the systems working and producing power. We look at the latest in charge controllers and inverters, the electronic boxes that control and convert the power. You can see how much power is available and learn how to adapt your home to become more energy efficient.

Even if you don't intend to build your own renewable energy system, this will make you an educated consumer if you decide to hire a contractor.

Thoughts for the Day

With our technologies--ones of incalcuable power: earth-restoring, planet preserving--we can rediscover an intimacy, a mutuality with the natural world, that is not primitive (though based in part on fear), but knowing. It might even be possible to relearn a life of awe. And inhabit the landscape with the least violation.  ~Janet Kauffman

We abuse land because we regard it as a commodity belonging to us.  When we see land as a community to which we belong, we may begin to use it with love and respect.  ~Aldo Leopold

I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security.  Defense of our resources is just as important as defense abroad.  Otherwise what is there to defend?  ~Robert Redford

Black Elk, Oglala Lakota:

"Here at the center of the world where you took me when I was young and showed the goodness and the beauty and the strangeness of the greening earth, you have said that I should make the tree to bloom..."
